Elizabeth grew up in Morgantown and attended local schools. She completed a degree in elementary education at West Liberty University. When she returned to Morgantown to work on a masters degree in early childhood education and while working in the School of Medicine dean's office she developed an interest in event photography. Overtime she broadened her portfolio to capture significant life events and nature.
